EVENTS

Audiences are welcome at all stages of the competition.

Entrance to the preliminary and semi final rounds at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and to the final at the Elgar Concert Room, Bramall Music Building, University of Birmingham will be free of charge. Tickets for the final can be obtained here.

Donations will be accepted at the door.


 

April 24th 2027 - Commencing at 10.00.
Preliminary Round, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire

Open to the general public the preliminary round of competitors go head to head each performing a 20 minute selection of pieces from Bach through to Bartok and beyond. Always a varied and interesting day, here you will get to hear much of the piano core repertoire played by fine young pianists. Eight will go through to the semi final stage.

April 25th 2027 - Commencing at 10.00.
Semi Finals, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire

Following on from the previous day of performances, the jury will make a decision about which three pianists should go through to the final stage. Each semi finalist will play a 45 minute free choice recital in the hope that they make it through to the final.

May 23rd 2027 - Commencing at 14.00 Recital Final in association with Barber Concerts at The Elgar Concert Hall, Birmingham University.
Entrance is free of charge. Tickets can be obtained here.

The recital final to the Dudley International Piano Competition, when the three finalists will each perform a 45 minute selection of pieces of their own choice.
